I'm Rocco Vallognes, french musician and composer, practising my art mainly for cinema since 2016.
Multi-instrumentalist, I studied solfège and accordion in my youth and then chose bass as my main instrument. I try to mix and match all sorts of instruments and sounds in my pieces, not hesitating to use my own voice to create new sound materials.

My musical personality is particularly eclectic, nourished by a wide range of influences from  electronic music (Air, Daft Punk, Savant...), from symphonic (John Williams, Joe Hisaishi, Bruno Coulais...), from traditional (Africa, Asia, Europe, America), from pop music (Mickael Jackson...), from rock (Pink Floyd...), from jazz (Marcus Miller...), etc
In 2013 I decided to further develop my technical skills by studying sound techniques (recording, sound design, editing, mixing) at INA - Institut National de l'Audiovisuel, that was the moment that I fell in love with cinema and the magic that surrounds it, the result of a perfect merge between images, sound and music.

My artistic approach takes shape through research and introspection, passionately exploring the diversity of musical languages and their infinite richness.

Listening, intuition, and exchanges with the director are at the heart of my philosophy.
